ON-SITE BUSH CAMPING
Burrandowan has a fantastic bush camping area located within easy walking distance to the track facilities & race day action. Facilities include flushing toilets and both men's and women's hot showers. As our region is currently drought-declared, water is scarce and sacred! We ask that you consider this when you are utilising the camping facilities and suggest you bring a supply of water with you.
Please note there are no powered sites available. Closest 'dump' points are Chinchilla, Kingaroy and Jandowae. Unfortunately, there are no dump points on site at Burrandowan.
Please note, that dogs are strictly not permitted within the campgrounds or at the racetrack.
The camping grounds open on the Tuesday prior to Race Day. Payment is upon arrival. As camping is becoming more popular each year there is a site plan with individual designated camping sites of various shapes and sizes. These will range from small tent size camps up to sites that can accommodate several vans in one location. Camping sites will be allocated when payment is made at the entrance gate. Parking attendants will direct you to your allocated site. Some sites will require vans to be reversed into. Please let the gatekeeper know if you require a drive-through site.
Cost = $10 per night per person + $25 per person entry ticket for the Races.
Saturday night is complimentary!
NOTE: No concessions. Bookings are not required.
